The Crown of Alfonso of Spain - Miniature
 Zoom image		The ancient regalia of Spain was destroyed in a great fire in 1734. A new crown and sceptre were made in the 19th century to be displayed at accession ceremonies and at the opening of the Cortes ( the Spanish parliament).

The crown is of plain design, with a golden circlet featuring eight gold plates bearing the heraldic emblems of the Kingdom with four arches raised in the shape of foliage, finally topped by a Globe and Cross.
