Scottish Sword & Scabbard - Miniature

This massive sword, which stands approximately 4' high, has a silver gilt hilt and pommel. The scabbard is covered in velvet, edged with silver gilt, and is centrally decorated with silver gilt motifs.
Made by Domenico da Sutri, it was presented as a diplomatic gift from Pope Julius II to King James IV in 1507.
